   Anyone know if there's a good way to allow vial / qmk like customizations with a mac keyboard? I use things like auto shift on my custom splits, but would like to have some similar features on my mac keyboard.

   Agreed. On a vial qmk build it was impossible. When remoting into work for citrix it also seemed to be considerably worse.

    I find all these posts slamming java and suggesting to use all the either much smaller jvm languages or something like python / go / rust utterly hilarious. If you want to get paid the big bucks in a high col city, you are a java or c++ dev, simple as. Sure work on your smaller languages, more pay for the rest of us!

    1) is garbage. Since grade 6 you can run on 22 ea with no issues. Use toolchains, as they say on their docs.

    2) no shit. What business user is every in their mind prioritising upgrading their language version? It's not up to them to push the upgrade. It's yours.

    3) of course they are. People don't desire what they don't want. Invest in people who are actually interested in improvement of their software.

    4)the java team have been pushing heavily via twitter / youtube / infoq / hacker news / other open jdk providers all the new features for every single java version during their 6 months release cycles. If your devs / your team don't know about it, then maybe again youre not encouraging people to want to improve on what they have, or take interest in the tech they work in.

    I mean that is fine, do I give a shit what java version in using for my take home salary? No...but I enjoy using the newest, most interesting and useful tools. And you best believe those people are more attractive to other companies and you working on some 15 year old java 8 tech.

    Could you link to some of the examples in your repo where you enforce the zero allocation? I don't see much reuse of the buffers, eg float buffers and there is quite a lot of array based heap allocation. Just for my own interest. Many thanks. Cool to see the use of the new vector api also.

    Hey Peter. I am on an l1a (visa category eb3) when perm was filed.

    Just had my 140 submitted and prio date is not yet current for 485. My company said they will apply for a circumstances based ead due to l1 expiry in June 2024.

    Is it possible for me to move company 6 months after the 485 filing with the emergency ead for work auth, due to the l not being transferable?

    I know there is a 6 month wait on the 485 to trigger ac21, is it worth me doing priority 140 processing or does this not factor in?
