  1. Do people still buy domain names and build businesses around them?
  2. I'm a parent of four, and the family controls on Android, paired with sensible oversight of laptop use at home, are perfectly sufficient. We've enabled WhatsApp, but check it every so often for the younger ones; they have a timeout, can use Wikipedia, and have a time limit on their use of AI. They can't use the stupid services like Tiktok.
  3. Launch a Kickstarter to make pre-built versions of this IMMEDIATELY.
  4. The whole article is making a category mistake.
  5. You could make a substitute that mimicked meat entirely. I'd still take the thing that grew in a cow. In "Culture" terms, I'm with the Affront. :-)
  6. > 8. avoid typing in code as part of the presentation, most of the time it won't work and it's boring watching somebody type

This can absolutely be made to work very well. When Josh Long did this at Goto, it was an absolute masterclass. He used timed zooms to almost turn it into comedy. The rehearsal involved must have been considerable.

  7. Whenever I hear anything about Zig it seems to be drama. Very bizarre, will avoid.
  8. Thank you!
  9. I was ready for it to involve lasagna.
  10. By literal, I assumed that you meant that the app allowed you to kill Duo the green owl, which I am sure many people feel like doing after all the cajoling, threats and emotional manipulation that he deals out when you miss a lesson.
  11. The NHS are less strident about this these days (I haven't checked since my sons were born - they used to dissuade 5d scans entirely), but this guide gives a flavour of the caution they invoke around private scans:

  12. And this is why high-powered prenatal ultrasound has always concerned me (in fact the NHS advises against the commercial scans for this reason).
  13. I still use Andrews & Arnold. Absolutely fantastic service.
  14. "Life on our planet was a delight, until the day the moss came."
  15. If you actually put the sentences in that article into Google translate, it things you're speaking Ilocano, which is apparently a language from the Phillipines.
  16. Interestingly, Google is still allowed to show explicit search results from these sites, which is absurd, and is a gap in the law, as now "search" sites have appeared which just do the same thing, but use videos.
  17. The word "liberal" means different things in different places.
  18. According to Wikipedia the company disappeared in 1975, so these trademarks are long since abandoned.
