- Yeah I read it that way too, I meant it's in a brace or some sort of device where you can't use it so it's not there for this article.
- Lmao what did apple do to this guy to make him write an apology about a 7-point correction from the hospital without a thumb??
- Use encrypted messaging apps so that they can't be scanned.
- A lot of people need to see this. If you don't control something, you will be disappointed eventually. Philosophically this can even be extended to your mortality.
- Circumstance is what you allow it to be. Short of being put in a Chinese concentration camp ala Uighurs, you generally have the last say in circumstance to experience anger.
- Instead of going after google, microsoft, or even citadel they go after publishing companies. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
- Agree
- Life is what you make of it not what it makes of you. If you don't want anger it doesn't need to be there.
- Great perspective except anger doesn't need to be a part of life.
- He's talking about the perception of trust, like in an interview. They won't have a history with you to see how trustworthy you are at that point.
- The guy you replied to seems to be correct.
- There are no bottlenecks. Just bad planning and cost-cutting that resulted in lack of goods.
- Definitely not the way to bet since most reactions to food are not allergic in nature. Gut reactions should constitute the majority.
- I am indeed, i know allergies vs non-allergies. Consider the reactions people have to fried food. You would bin that all under allergies with your logic.
- Nah, more like I can feel the side effects of hfcs more easily. I can still eat it and be fine, just have that plus a bit of indigestion.
- Dynm, i can tell the difference between hfcs and non-hfcs soda. I get blockage near the vocal cords about 5 - 15 minutes after consuming it, so there's definitely something worse than sugar about it.
- This is good, now if only we could tax the damn company lol.
- What a mess.. He didn't even do anything malicious to the provider by the looks of it.
> Finally, the hacker made a mistake. He skipped the VPN and entered a hacked KPN computer server directly from his home connection. With that, he exposed his home address.
Also this part seems like a lie.
- It does imply a flaw if you intend to extrapolate it to other unknown systems.
- Extrapolating logic to other realities requires no gaps in the system though. If it doesn't encompass our own reality how can we assume that it would even exist in others?
- > Logic is the science of the possible. As such, it is at the root of all other sciences, all of which are sciences of the actual, i.e. that which really exists.
Logic describes our universe well but even here it starts falling apart pretty fast. The idea of axiomatic systems as we know them is flawed. Mainly due to Godel's and partly from what we know of the psyche.
- Yeah that's why they're lobbying, there are millions who would pay them for prime weed lol.
- Of course, Amazon must develop all expanding consumer markets given the ease with which it can enter them. Amazon will make billions and quickly became the market leader if it becomes federally legal.
- Then to put it more simply, large companies must tow to influential requests because that influence determines the flow of money. Govt, private, or individual -- doesn't matter.
And Facebook is not actually shut down in China. It's partially blocked and working on a censorship project to reinstate itself there.
- Well of course. Why wouldn't they? Money and friends aside, they have to do it for people who wield power like China's upper echelon or the NSA. If they say no, they will be shut down in those markets.
- That's usually just an excuse. For example, that issue can be addressed in a more budget-friendly way by simply adding a few temporary meeting rooms. Need to discuss a confidential concern? Just book it.
The real reason is that it's harder to find quality c-suite candidates who would accept an open office. Since stockholders care so much about the quality of leadership (rightly), companies usually spare no expense in enticing the best candidates.
- Very simple: does c suite use open offices? No, because they freaking suck lol. If you think collaboration is benefitted from open office layouts, provide more offices or dedicated meeting rooms instead. In a private office i can put an air filter, control the temp completely, take a nap, and so on.
You need to have a 'mid-life crisis' early-on and figure out the meaning of life then and there.
Imagine the people who have these crises, now on their deathbeds.
