  1. Future buyers, be aware that those are "small" margins. You can't make them smaller without modifying the ebook file itself.

  2. To all other comments in this thread.

So many "hackers" apparently did not hear about adaptive refresh. There is no need to update a static image every 240fps. You only need to increase the refresh rate for animations like scrolling, like in... everywhere??? Android, macOS, Chromium, Qt, and GTK(?) do this.

  3. There is a reason why some GPU vendors supply a support bracket with the GPU. However, it will not protect against damage during transportation.

  4. Had those due to insufficient cooling in the case. Tell him to run the games without the side panel. I installed additional fans later and have had no such issue ever since. xt 7900
  5. Standard practice for Chromium forks. Chromium's repo is huge, slow, and impossible to diff for your changes with 10000s of other commits. Also, painful to host it anywhere.
  6. Here is a homework for you to see why they do it:

      1. Checkout Chromium's codebase.
      2. Make a commit and see how long it takes.
      3. Try to push it to any git hosting service.

You will discover what's actually brittle and annoying.

And yes, being 10s vs 10000s devs in the same repo isn't fun.

  7. > the dj setup is where I said "too far" and closed the tab

Also, it's AI-generated. Zoom in on the right-most guy in the image. Garbage in, garbage out. Embarrassing garbage quality for an official site.

  8. ASUS PN42 is also passive, but they do not mention it. You can find this out from teardown pictures. They also have certified 32GB memory sticks from Crucial.
  9. You can also send JSON over UDP. Wiz smart bulbs do this for communication.

    Ok.

  11. The only thing I found is that I'm entirely disinterested in passkeys for the next 5 years.
  12. > KeyPassX supports passkeys and allows you to export them as you wish.

The last time I tried to use passkeys, the desktop was easy. What about mobile? There wasn't a local third-party password manager that could work with passkeys on Android.

  13. The timezone for Kyiv is incorrect. It shows +2 while it's +3 in reality. Maybe something to do with the summer time.
  14. True. Googled "how to auto switch dark theme bootstrap". AI says in "versions 5.3 and newer, you can leverage the data-bs-theme attribute and JavaScript." and shows `data-bs-theme="auto"`.

This attribute exists, but this value comes from a bootstrap plugin that you have to install separately. It generated quite a few clicks and high-quality searches from me.

  15. Really? Then you can claim that Chrome has supported "profiles" since its inception, with the `--user-data-dir` command-line switch. If something is not user-visible, it is as good as non-existent. Firefox has no profiles as far as a regular user is concerned.
  16. The only way to access it with `about:profiles`? It looks like a joke. How could users possibly find this?

UPD. The more I look at this, the worse it gets. Hidden under a special URL, requires you to launch the default profile before you can switch to another profile (yes-yes, there are command-line hacks). It's more like a user data manager for devs than profiles for users. Even containers look better than these profiles.

  17. Firefox has no profiles. It has a bunch of hacks, such as containers, which are cumbersome to use. Chromium provides separate windows with different profiles, and Firefox should follow Chromium here. Firefox's "solution" forces you to switch Github tabs between personal and work containers constantly.
  18. They ignored that the temperature sensor had appeared in the unaffected model.
  19. Expecting a complete malware analysis from maintainers is a tad too much. Their goal is to notify users as soon as possible, even if no other information about the malware is available.

Also, an attacker may leave no traces by simply dumping the payload to /tmp.
