  1. Nope. Plenty of top-tier contractors work quietly with their clientele and let the companies take the credit (so long as they reference the contractor to others, keeping the gravy train going.)

If you don't see it happening, the game is being played as intended.

  2. Crazy that you were downvoted. Oh well, the submission's flagged anyway.
  3. Yeeeep. I'm very disappointed because the subject matter is important.
  4. Good report, thanks. Will take a look at my earliest convenience this weekend (and sorry about that!)
  5. A next-gen [0] terminal emulator. It's in Early Access, but watch the 3-minute landing trailer for the gist of the vision.

  6. Some levity before the holidays. I cringed and (grudgingly) chuckled!
  7. Very commendable, I'll keep tabs on this initiative. If you'll forgive the plug our community is tackling the same issue [0] but from an offline angle (read: meatspace > cyber)

  10. Would you be opposed to a tech bro making a startup out of this? :)
  11. Bookmarked! Excited to look into this and potentially subscribe this week.

Our coding meetups [0] are going increasingly offline and I'm looking for ways to exit the feed [1]. So I really want to learn from organizations like The Offline Club and now you.

  12. If you ask me the issue is companies like Discord outsourcing [0] their own customer data to third parties. And for what? To save money?

  13. The author doesn't appear to ship commercially-viable software and unfortunately it shows. Those of us who do are amused by the essay.

The two recent IT catastrophes [0] from Alaska Airlines will continue elsewhere.
