  1. The philosophy resonates with me. I even built a spaced repetition app myself while in Brasil a couple of years ago. I started with lists based on things like kitchen stuff etc. you’ve inspired me to resurrect it.

By the way, it’s a bit slow - maybe you’re getting increased traffic from the HN post.

The submit button needs to deactivate after being pressed the first time otherwise you end up pressing it multiple times and it’s like that scene from Toy Story with all the Martians in the machine.

    Good luck with it!

  2. The best use of my time is doing the things I want to do but balancing that with the things I have to do to get there.
  3. No it isn’t.
  4. What are you talking about? They can’t kill it. Most use is outside the browser. It’s not about mixing words.
  5. Are you aware that XSLT is mostly used outside the browser?
  6. Google isn’t killing XSLT. They just don’t want to support it in their browser any more. The site is misleading.
  7. This. And the ones that mean you have to manually switch off multiple legitimate interest toggles mean I just press the back button.
  8. I gave up coffee with caffeine about 4 months ago. I still have the occasional decaf but it’s like drinking alcohol free beer, you drink very differently when you don’t get a high. My instinct is that stimulants are just not a good idea if you want balance.
  9. You used to have to prove that your ancestor hadn’t given up the Italian citizenship which is where you would have missed out. I believe your ancestor is now limited to parent or grandparent AND one or both must have a ‘connection’ to Italy - as in they were born there and/or live there. I know nothing about German citizenship but my advice to you would be to start the process now given the far right momentum in Germany and the world in general. I’ve been through the process and mine was fairly straightforward and it still took a couple of years to gather and legalise document and then go through the process.
  10. Fair. I was being flippant.
  11. The answer to Event Sourcing and CQRS is no.
  12. If it’s Italy you may be disappointed as they’ve recently changed the rules
  13. The one with the pilots announcing turbulence ahead…
  14. This exists already. They used sheets in deserts to trap moisture that trickles down into vessels
  15. This reply makes you sound like you’re up your own arse.
  16. Why are you posting this?
