    I think it’s so it can look at the login method for the account and act accordingly.

    If the user is configured to use SSO it can redirect to the identity provider. If it’s password auth it can ask for the password, etc.

    Yep, I’ve done something similar. Flew to a conference for work, then had them fly me to my vacation destination instead of home.

    I basically ended up getting a free one-way flight for vacation.

    My weird monitor issue (since we’re talking about it, not that anyone asked) is sometimes when I wake my M1 MacBook Pro, my monitor (AW3821DW) has a cyan overlay across the whole screen.

    I unplug/plugin the usb-c cable and it fixes it.

    I have a usb-c to DP dongle, then connect via DP to the monitor.

    Yes... when it does anything other than what I ask, it makes me feel like it's wasting my time.

    Alexa recently started responding with "Good afternoon! <the normal response>" and it irks me more than it probably should. I've looked to see if I can turn it off and can't find the option.

    I don't need pleasantries from a machine.

    Didn’t they make a big hoopla about hosting basecamp on 1 big self hosted server years ago? I can’t find it, but I’m surprised to hear they were in the cloud at all.

    Edit: This is what I was thinking of. It was from 2012 and it was just the ram for the machine they were building for their caching of basecamp next.
