  1. As someone that doesn't live in the US, this post sounds insane.
  2. This doesn't make any kind of sense. There's plenty of homeless people outside of expensive cities.
  3. What's wrong with being a Luddite?
  4. I don't know if I'm just misremembering but it feels like over the last three years or so the technical knowledge on HN has gone down the toilet.
  5. I prefer human writers tbh
  6. Then the answer isn't to adopt AI it's to unionise.
  7. I don't think they're wilfully misrepresenting the article by listing it's headline, even if you disagree with it.
  8. Not really? That isn't the argument they were making.
  9. Where's the contradiction?
  10. Considering how many of these stickers are about being gay or trans, compromising about expressing yourself sounds pretty grim. I wouldn't want to put that aside to get on with my co-workers.
  11. Governments aren't doing much about climate change and the science is very clear on that.
  12. > You regularly make personal attacks against individuals on the internet?

Isn't that basically the history of the internet?

  13. Yeah but in this case your car is non-deterministic so
  14. > Because nobody actually wants a "web app". People want food, love, sex or: solutions.

  16. There's a weird way of engaging with cinema from a few African countries that requires wrapping yourself in irony before you enjoy them.
  17. The younger generation absolutely use Tiktok search to find information.
  18. They also serve images.
  19. Was able to get a lot of the guess-the-word one just based on it being an anagram. Might want to throw in a few decoy letters?
  20. Well it's massively overtly nationalist for one. There's a hilarious sequence at the beginning that's just shots of American industry and agriculture.
  21. Is it still true that Americans find it hard to see how this is very clearly propaganda?

Yes, it's anti-Nazi but it's still has very obvious problems.

  22. > Despite people yelling

The "people yelling" are overwhelmingly pro-AI. I find the other side to be relatively quiet.

  23. Money Can Be Exchanged For Goods and Services
  24. > its not fair to say its impossible

    Nothing is impossible!

    > LLMs also came out of nowhere

    No they didn't.

  25. I also thought this would be about Freedom, the title is really a bit misleading.
  26. Presumably if people aren't happy about it they'll just continue to revolt.
  27. > No CEO cares about commercial real estate profits. It isn't a factor in any major company decision.

No spherical CEO in a vacuum, maybe.
