Fixed (I think - idk what the greeblies are):
dude how did ya fix it, i thought markdown worked in the comments on HN and spent about 15 mins before giving up
HN has some formatting syntax but not full markdown: https://news.ycombinator.com/formatdoc For your tree I added the newlines back and then used the "text after a blank line that is indented by two or more spaces is reproduced verbatim" feature.
