Aristotle didn't like kids writing, because it would harm their memorization. People didn't like all the books kids were reading, didn't like newspapers, didn't like radio, didn't like the phone, didn't like TV, didn't like the movies, didn't like the internet. This argument "for the kids" is ~2,300 years old and you know what? They were all wrong, they just don't like progress.
