I strongly resonate with the author, as he's articulating thoughts I'm unable to express clearly. It reminds me of the first time I installed colorful themes like Solarized. I immediately felt lost, and most of the themes I used just didn't feel right. They gave me the impression that color schemes are organized for aesthetic purposes only, without any logic or philosophy behind them. I didn't dare to think further because adjusting color schemes always seemed too difficult and prone to breaking things. However, today, thanks to this excellent writing, I finally comprehend the entire concept, and I feel confident in modifying or creating my own themes correctly from now on.

Just created a VSCode theme [1] that looks exactly like the result of "Let’s design a color theme together" in this article. Feel free to try it out! Remember to switch to "GitHub Dark ABS" after installation.
