Sergey, Sergey, Sergey... I really liked you when you just dropped a cool search engine and algorithm, earned the "kiss-my-ass money", and then went away to enjoy the money. That's where it should have ended.

Google is massively international at this point. Especially on the research side.
If you want to collaborate to do things you have to spend a lot of the day in online meetings. Doing this in office honestly just slows things down.
I don't mind a few days in office because Google has really nice offices but it certainly doesn't increase productivity.
