The marketing folks at the American Pickleball Association have been spending heavy this year.
I think some of it is organic, but it has been interesting to watch city park organizations build (or convert old tennis courts into) new pickleball facilities. It helps to have something that is both active and easy to start. You don't have to be particularly in shape at the beginning, gear needs are low, can be done year-round.
