For a guy with a private jet, Sacks has the worldliness of someone who has never had a passport. As soon as the conversation ventures outside the USA he makes basic factual errors but delivers it with all the confident bluster we have come to expect from VCs.

Sacks is both far-right and intelligent enough to know that the Trumpy far right is devoid of culture. Sack's mission is to create an image of cities as dirty and dangerous, so fewer people will notice the unread, incurious, culturelessness of the lumpen right. Or they'll feel better about themselves. Or something. But without Elon's charisma, nor his bot farm, nor Peter Theil's smooth Dark Enlightenment moves.
