How is this not a difference without a distinction?

I can drive in a nail with a hammer or a boot, but that doesn't make hammers and boots the same thing. There are many different ways to accomplish any task.
I don’t think your analogy is very good. Boots are useful besides driving nails. What is async/await useful for except concurrency?
I have no experience with Go, but boots being useful at tasks other than driving nails was pretty clearly exactly their point.
Right, so what's the thing that async/await is good at other than concurrency?
